Has anyone ever build a model from this company? What kind of quality are
we talking about? Are the kits any good?

I have been looking at the MIG-29 kit for about a year now (first spotted it
in a e-Bay auction), but I have not yet seen a review of a kit from this
company, so don't know what to expect.

I bought one of the 3D Freedom a few months ago. I'm fitting it out and
balancing it right now before I cover it. The wood was good and the kit is
100% laser cut. Everything fit will. The instructions are focused on an
experienced builder and does not tell you some basic things like installing
the fire wall blind nuts before you build the fuse. But overall the build
was fine.

I bought the .46-size Sukhoi kit last fall. I haven't built it yet, but the
wood and laser cutting looks very good.

Good flying,
Bob Scott

I built an AKM 3D Freedom. I'm really enjoying flying it. It's a really nice
flying plane. I had previously put together and repaired several ARF's but this
was my first kit. I was quite happy with the quality of the wood. Everything
fit well. Building was quite enjoyable, not too difficult (heck I did it). The
plane came out pretty straight. Hardly any trim adjustments required on the
maiden flight.

The instructions and plans were good. The manuals are available on-line so
check them out. The 3D Freedom manual really only takes you through building
the various components (i.e., fuse, wing, tail feathers, control surfaces ...).
You are on your own for how best to attach the canopy and do the final assembly.
This is really not a problem. I just built the thing like I build my ARF's
(i.e., I covered everything first, then I assembled).

Those jets look like they would be an interesting project.

Good luck,
Moses

Moses - you got time for a few questions from someone who else who is
building a 3D Freedom? If so, please send me your real email address. I
assume yours is a spam-protector.

The Mig 29 kit showed up yesterday. Wood looks good prints look
accurate. You can download the instruction manuals from the website. If
you send an email you will get a quick response also. I ordered the kit
on Sunday evening and got an email a half hour later that there was a
scheduled pick up by UPS for the next day and I had the kit on
Wednesday.
Sure can't complain about that.

You will need to download the instruction manual if you get a kit
though. It is a small company so cost cutting is a necessity. I am going
to have to do some modifications to the kit because I want to install
retracts. I am hoping that that Alexandre can be of some help. I will
keep you posted on how everything goes.

Just got through going through all the wood and contents of the kit. The
kit contained a few damaged parts. There were also some missing parts
according to the parts list. I sent off an email about the missing and
damaged parts to AK-models in hopes of resolving the issue. I will keep
you posted as to how well their service is.
