Has anyone had a Dynaflite Butterfly??
dynaflite Piece o Cake?
Looks like a good lazy flyer for calm days.
Are they any good?

Both are very nice, slow-flying planes. If you get an older kit, you might
have a little trouble, 'cause the plans and parts don't exactly match
sometimes. I understand the new kits are much better.

Go with a small 4 stroke on the Butterfly, you can not get a better lazy
late afternoon flyer!!
I remember it flying "backwards" when pointed into the wind at low
throttle. Landing took a while to get used to since it need so little
speed to touch down and even a small bounce seemed to toss it back in the
air for another 10-15 foot glide.
Haven't flown it in ages but recently put an OS20 in it after the Irvine
developed some really interesting reliability problems.
You might also consider trying what I did: add ailerons and reduce the
dihedral. Then you can do funky things like slow rolls and inverted low
passes. Knife edge still isn't spectacular though. :-)

Have both But the Piece o Cake in not finished yet
going to put a throttled Novell .061 on it should be a
nice plane. My Butterfly has a old Fox .15 and is a lot of fun.
The kits are good with good plans and instructions.
Going to build another Butterfly when I get time
my put a bigger engine on it.
