VSTOL RC Models?

Are there any VSTOL-type RC Models available? This is a current fascination
for my nephew (who is a Piper pilot, although a young one). Anything like a
V-22 Osprey or XV-15 or AV-8 Harrier? This would be a gift he'd really
enjoy... A kit is OK, also. Thanks.

Unfortunately there is not much available for a harrier/Osprey except 'stand way
off semi scale' type models. check =

The VTO part is simple. More power than weight.. As the Navy, Lockheed
and Convair found out, the L part is darn near impossible.
In model sizes, it is as close to impossible as anything can get.
Hovering to a vertical landing takes a lot of skill, which means a lot
of crashing.
