Fred Marks of FMA

My thoughts are with Fred and his family. Fred suffered a heart attack
this last week. I wish him a speedy recovery! Lighten up on FMA if they
are a little slower to respond to orders.

By the way some of you new guys (less than 30 years) have no idea of Fred's
contribution to RC. Most of you who bitched on this newsgroup have done
nothing to further this hobby except complain.

I hope some of you out there will help start a thread about Fred's
contributions.

I am assuming we are talking about Fred M .Marks (probably a pretty safe
assumption) who's book "Getting the Most From Radio Control Systems" (1980)
is a classic.

As for me,

Fred Marks is a legend in RC modeling.

I grew up (no comments please!!) reading his books and using his gizmos.

His ideas revolutionized the industry.

Some of my fondest memories are of a sunny day, a light breeze and flying a
simple airplane using Fred Marks designed equipment.

At times, when life is hectic, I long for those days.

Our families prayers are with the entire Marks family!!

Get well quickly Fred!!

My thoughts are with Fred and his family.. He is a real ICON to the modeling
world. His contributions are many and if any of you used any of the ACE
products in the past, his designs are in there. We are with you FRED..
