Just tried to order some stuff from Horizon Hobbies. They are
pathetic! I had them ask for a signed FAX Form to confirm my order and
authorize them to ship to APO addresses.
I have made hundreds of internet orders and never have I had to fill
out a separate form for an APO order. Let alone send it back to the
states via a fax, This costing me even more!
Horizon also wanted me to authorize AIR postal service. This would be
way to expensive. Besides all mail sent to APO addresses is sent via
air if it's First class. First class is allot cheaper than AIR.
I'm in the Military and am thrilled when I can find companies to send
there wares to APO addresses. Secondly even more excited when those
companies don't try to rip me off by charging way more than they have
to.
Thank you for listening to me.

I've had very good service from Horizon, and will in no way boycott
them. We regularly hear (and sometimes take heed) to complaints about
customer no-service on the NG, but rarely are they as trivial as having
to fill out a fax form!
Cliff
Have to agree. I have had exceptional service from Horizon - orders
processed promptly, replacements for defective parts shipped to me
even BEFORE I return the bad part; their tech guys being willing to
spend a lot of time explaining anything I want - from what the
differences are between servo X and servo Y, to how to open up
the case on a 10X to remove the throttle ratchet.
.
I only wish I could get this level of service from every company
I deal with.

You say it's trivial. That is your perspective. I disagree. All this
running around would make my 124 dollar order 150. I am NOT willing to
pay 25 extra dollars and waste several hours of my life chasing around
for a company to Cover there Butt!
This was a first time order from Horizon and it has left me sour.

Some of their planes are lemons, especially during the first manufacturing
runs, but that's another story..
