I have seen a bunch of threads on this but I can't find the one on how
EXACTLY to make one of these. Could somebody please e-mail w/ the proper
procedure for building one of these pipes?
Thanx in advance for any replys.

I haven't tried it myself, but there is a detailed how-to for this on the RC
Flight Unlimited web page at http://rcplanet.com/rcfu/
Just click on the Construction menu option.

Hope this helps,

I did it on a OS40FP... lost a great amount of power though
The other thing is that it was like an electrical engine; I couldn't even
here it at idle!

Naahhh...
How can you lose a great amount of power from an OS FP? It didn't
have squat to begin with. Get a bushed Fox 40 - within an ounce of
the FP weight, twice the power. Don't do it if you don't know how a
carb works though.....you're one the guys the OS was made for.

It sounds like your stinger tube is plugged up...maybe with JB Weld?

With a 9x7 prop, my OS 40 FP gained about 2000 RPM with a MCP over the stock
muffler.....and it gained about 500 RPM over an open exhaust.

You did you use the 6" long by 1 3/4" diameter can, right? If you used the
smaller can, the 40 FP won't run right.

Give a MCP another chance. I'm betting you'll like it too!

The FP40 is a great engine but as has been said, it is not for builders who
like to slop on the glue and build way to heavy. It flies my super sportster
40 fine and am about to try it on a scimitar I scratch built which weights
about 3.2 pounds. I can pull mine out of storage lasting 4 years and it always
starts on the first flip. You will never need an electric starter with it.

actually, I respect Fox engines (even in the morning) but the only one
I own now is an ancient ukie 35.... my leanings are to K&B, ST and
Saito... I'm still hunting for a K&B 7.5 aero to run up against those
Raptor specs.... not that I have anything against the Raptor... but it
isn't sliced bread....

How about the fact that you cann't buy one? That counts as a negative to me.
