Kadet Senior, floats, rubber bands?

Now that I've got the floats installed on my Senior, I'm getting
concerned about the rubber bands holding the wing on. Referring back to
the "one band per pound" axiom, would an increase in bands really hold the
approximately 3-pound increase in weight that this plane now enjoys? :)

Lynn: 12 bands, last 4 crisscrossed will hold on about any wing.

Yes and it is two (2) rubber bands per pound!!!!!!!!!!!!
