I'm looking for information on GN gas electric paint schemes. The
model is of the 1925 car with the flat nose. Was there a scheme
where the car was olive green with a white nose with black stripes?
If so, can anyone describe where the paint separations were, width
of stripes, how they were positioned etc. Where might I find a
picture? Thanks for any help anyone might have.

I suppose it depends on what years you are modeling. The book
_Lines_East_ (page 49) says regarding the 1925 ElectroMotive, "The
color scheme was Pullman green with a black roof. The lettering was
Gold Railroad Roman style."
The Empire Builder "streamliner" paint would be proper for the '50s.

In 1925 the GN received a Brill model 250 # 2314 and four S Louis
Car/EMC Model SE-106 # 2309-2312 and a St Louis/EMC Model DE-106 #
2313. After initially being all Pullman Green the GN added yellow &
black safety stripes on the nose. The units started receiveng 'Empire
Builder' colours in 1947.
The Brill was a 62' 52 seat car with a 9.5' baggage compartment
The SE-106s were initially passenger-baggage, but some were modified
later
The DE 106 was a passenger-baggage, sold to Montana Western in1940
then returned, it is at the Mid Continent Ralway Museum at North
Freedom WI in MW colours.
There are some B&W photos in the GNRHS reference sheets # 63 & 72
wherethis information originated.
