Our latest kit, DD1026, Skid Row Part One in HO will be sold out this
week. We will not rerun it when gone, so if you'd like to pick one up,
now is the time. See it at our site, www.downtowndeco.com . Thanks.

I'm not sure why not... but it's probably Union Pacific's or Horizon Hobbies'
fault!

This kit (as are most of ours) is a limited edition. When this kit is
sold out I'll start on a new project. Why does Ford come out with a
new car every year instead of just rerunning the 72 LTD over and over
again? Because customers like new and different products, not the same
old thing time and again. If you want kits that are available at any
time and are on thousands and thousands of other model railroaders
layouts they are already out there. That's just not the product we
make. Cheers.

Off topic here but...Better tell that to a few of the Import Car
Manufacturers.
Ever notice how many of them can rerun an ad from years ago and then
just overlay a current model year number at the end of the ad?
The cars hardly EVER change from year to year now, if at all.

p.s.
1972 LTDs really are good cars. Ford just shouldn't have tried to market
them as a "poor man's Mercury".

I wish I had my 1972 LTD back! 2 door, 400ci, custom dual glass packs,
cragar SS rims. Great looking brown! This car would haul a**! You
could hear me coming for a mile!

Traded it in for a K-car. What was I thinking......

We went through all this awhile back. I couldn't get him to change his mind.

I ran into the same thing. They make some really great-looking products, but
the ones I wanted were sold out long ago and I can't find them on Ebay or
through hobby shops. If I recall correctly, he's a one-man operation who
prefers keeping his business small/manageable.

Here's what you do. Go to our list & click on the "mailing list" link.
I'll add you to our mailing list. List members get a 60 day heads up
on all new kits.

At one time we had a whole crew. Packing, sorting, shipping our kits.
I manufactured and sold more kits than ever. But I had to baby sit
employees, it was way more chaotic (because our product is hand cast
you can only do them so fast no matter how many sets of molds you
have) and when it when it came right down to it (after paying the
packers, the boxers and the shippers) I didn't make any more money.
More work, more stress but no additional income. This translates into
me not enjoying my work and if I don't enjoy my work then I'll find
something else to do. This would mean no more kits for you. I'm glad
you guys like the kits. My advise is to get on the mailing list and
buy promptly if you see something you like.
