Can't add cities to iPod Touch 1G's weather app?

Hello.
Is it me or adding cities to iOS v3.1.3's weather app It was working
fine back in 2014. Its default listed cities work though, but I don't
want those. Yes, I haven't used this old iDevice for that long.
