The USJF rag came in the mail last night.

While thumbing through it, what should appear before my eyes on p.3 an
13, but pics of rma's own Karen Nagai, brutally assaulting some other
poor woman (who does, admittedly, seem up to the task of defending
herself).

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.

Its gonna get asked anyway, so I may as well jump to the head of the
pack:
Never mind all that now. What were they wearing?

Sooo, someone else saw it too, eh? Damn tori, keeps moving
out of the way! What sport is there in that? My attempts
at mayhem and brutality are constantly foiled and my attacks
constantly turned against me! It's the pits.

But it's been judo heaven around here for the last few months -
Shepherd Sensei visited twice---TWICE! Fukuda Sensei was here,
Saito Sensei and Pres. came to teach us, and most recently,
Takeuchi Sensei. So I've been locked, punched, gouged, kicked,
thrown, and strangled by some of the best. It's wonderful!

Just about everyone has a "Sunday Going to Meetin"
Mizuno - usually bleached, usually double weave.
I wear bleached Hsu single because my students gave
it to me and I love it...and club T-shirt for extra
magical strength.

karen "sorry you asked, huh?"

Hey, it takes all kinds. I'm sure that just got someone's motor
running...

Just keepin' up the status quo, mam. Anyway, congrats. Sounds
like, from your other post, it was a good time.

Wouldn't you know it... I let my USJF membership lapse long ago. I
guess I now have a good reason to rejoin!

B&N doesn't carry Judo Magazine. Any idea where I can get a copy?

It's the membership magazine for the United States
Judo Federation. Unless you're judoka and that's
your club's affiliation, save your $50US. I per-
sonally would prefer either National Geographic or
Smithsonian, but my club is USJF, my rank is USJF,
my black belt association is USJF.

If you really want to know what I look like, picture
Yoda with hair and better English. There? Got it?

::shudder:: Until now, I never considered that there may be a female gender
to Yoda's species. I'm feeling a bit queasy.

Truthfully, it has nothing to do with your gender or anything like that...
I'm a face person, not a name person, so anytime I can put a face to a name
I try to do so. That's why I was interested.

I think I accomplished the task by visiting the University of Washington's
Judo site. I'm guessing that you are the older of the two females shown in
the picture since the other girl doesn't have a black belt. For the record,
I don't think you look like Yoda at all!

Well, it's a good thing that I'm dedicated then!

Better to have a good defense to Uchimata Makikomi, than to merely be
a dedicated stalker...

Stalking Joshi Judoka is probably not one of the safer occupations...
