Honestly, where do people get these stories??
He died from an allergic reaction from a perscription medication.
Will
What we do know is that he also had the attack about 3 months
before his death? where he collapsed in Hong Kong while dubbing
ENTER THE DRAGON; if you recall he went to UCLA, was examined,
and told he was as fit as a 18 yr old but was prescribed
DILANTIN to counter what the doctor though might be a epileptic
condition he had.
On analysis of his stomach contents, no DILANTIN was found.
BRuce apparently stopped taking it or hadnt taken it prior to
his death?
I am interested to see what are in the TAPES advertised in
INSIDE KUNG-FU.. Also ROBERT LI said he had some info to share
that would be revealed in his book...
HEY, consider this one.... Bruce actually had his sweat glands
removed from his armpits so he would look better on camera. NO
JOKE - if you have your sweat glands removed, how do you friggin
perspire? What if he suffered stroke like symptons due to
internal overheating? EXERTING as much energy as BRuce did, how
could he cool off. While probably having nothing to do with
cause of his death it is interesting thought though and
original!
I would like BETTY TING PEI to reveal what she knows.. She
stated she was innocent but why did she film the movie BRUCE LEE
- His last days, last nights? This is the one I believe she made
about two years after his death where she HUMPS a "bruce Lee"
and Bruce dies holding his head
SLOºCan anyone please tell me how did Bruce actually die? From what
ºI heard, he had a fight with an Indonesian Silat Master named
ºDK Zulkarnain and was killed in the fight. DK couldn't match him
ºphysically but he used internal (black magic) power to defeat and
ºaccidentally killed him.
Say, We had a biography about Bruce Lee on our Channel 15. In the
video, his wife was interviewed, Linda Lee, about Bruce Lee's death.
An autopsy done revealed a ruptured miliary aneurism (that's a swollen
blood vessel in the brain). The rupturing causes death
instantaneously. Fortunately, it's not common with young people, but
dramatic. My wife's girl friend, died this way. She was having a cup
of coffee at another friend's house, gave no warning but just
collapsed her head into the table and she was gone.

ANEURISM? What evidence do you have to support this? That is incorrect. No cause of deathe
was found; only a swelled brain. Ruled "death by Misadventure" - Coroner asserted swelling
probably due to reaction to ingredient "meprobanate" in equalgesic.
Talke to Alex Ben Block two weeks ago; he said to me "Bruce's brain was found to have swelled, that we know, but what killed
Bruce we may never find out"
To be accurate, it was "hypersensitivity to ingredient" in the coroner's
report. It happens occassionally that a person will develope an acute
over-reaction to a drug or substance that makes the drug or substance work
in an overdriven manner or trigger an extreme allergic reaction. In Mr.
Lee's case, it was a mild analgesic, which his hypersensitivity (in
combination with another substance in his bloodstream - an herbal remedy
if I remember correctly) turned into a severe vaso-depressant.

I got my data from a biography of Bruce Lee's life. His wife Linda ws
interviewed about what she knew about his death. She was the one who
mentioned the aneurism. Supposedly, she had a private talk with the
pathologist who did the autopsy.

I would have to agree. I have heard that while visiting Dan Inosanto
in the US he became sick and visited a hospital. While there he
collapsed and his heart stopped. Apparently he had an allergic
reaction to hash which he must have been using. The story of his
collapse is well known. He came very close to death.
Lee then returned to Hong Kong and must have used hash again, despite
being warned against it, and probably died from the reaction. He died
at the appartment of actress Betty Tiem Pe (spelling?). There was much
secrecy concerning the entire matter. This might explain it? After all
if she was using hash and had supplied him with it, resulting in his
death, would she be forthcoming with the details?

Just to clarify. It wasn't a REAL bullet in the gun that killed
Brandon, but a safety cap-type thing that wasn't removed . It fired
out and lodged in his spine, and he never regained conciousness. A
tragedy, but whats really wierd is Bruce did a film where a character
( I think it was his) dies while filming a scene where he gets
shot.....
My version of the story is as follows :
Bruce was still involved in making Way Of The Dragon. Filming
had finished and Bruce was helping with sound effects at the studio.
Three times during that day Bruce had dizzy spells and felt faint but
he thought he was OK. Later that evening Bruce had another episode
and collapsed. He was taken to hospital and given a neurological examination
, the exam revealed a slight swelling on his brain and the doctor
prescribed a drug called Manatol to reduce the swelling, then he sent
Bruce home. Later Bruce had a headache and took an aspirin. Apparently
the drugs reacted badly together or Bruce reacted badly to the drugs
and sadly he was killed by a cerebral adoema.
A very unfortunate end\beginning for a great inspiration.
