I saw a MMA event with a Lin Kuei entered in it.
He kept wrappin this chain-whip around guys necks and yellin' "GET OVER HERE!"
Scariest thing I ever saw.

Surely you jest.

I'd pay money to see that.

Now that raises the very interesting question of how MMA/Pride/UFC fights
would look with weapons allowed (besides having a very steep clean-up bill.

The Dog Brothers were negotiating at one time to appear as a demo event in
the UFCs. The producer looked at their tapes and said that it would be "too
extreme".

No system, just techniques. Lots of broad terms for any "gypsy",
vagabond, wanderer or "black magic" style. Like xiong1: gog/magog,
people with the mark of cain (curse of darkness: wander in the earth),
pre-flood races that survived because they were pent up in the earth
as a curse for denying "gods people" their earthly posterity.
Pre-agricultural, babel builders...

Sets the precedent for those that live by works and trancendental
(intransitive), natural laws/forces vs. those that live by faith/rules
etched in stone (ten commandments). Things beyond your understanding
or comprehension.

Lucifer is enlightenment.

Leung Ting wrote two books on a Chinese style that supposedly was the
predecessor of Ninpo.
The books are called "Skills of the vagabond" and "Beyond the incredibles".

Well, there are some chinese groups _like_ that. Leung Ting's "Skills
of The Vagabonds" tells of one such group. But the Lin Kuei thing is a
bit suspicious. There is a book about them from Paladin Press but I
have heard rumours that the book was possibly written by Ashida Kim
a.k.a. Hei Long a.k.a. Chris Hunter ad nauseatum.

In any case, the chinese "ninja" groups were not that refined, just
wandering vagabonds who often had to steal and swindle for living and
sometimes somebody got p*ssed off and then they had to run. Thus some
of them were quite adept at disappearing in a couple of seconds (thus
some people think they were ninja forerunners... sigh...). When they
were unable to hide, they had to fight, but apparently they didn't
have the time/guts/whatever to learn a real martial art, but they used
the old dirty tricks to win the fights (or get the chance to run
again).

Just my 2c.

There are two names used the practitioner of the Chinese equivalent of Ninjutsu which is Namkam and the practitioner is also called Namkam. Then there is what is referred to by Leung Ting (Wing Tsun) as the Skills of the vagabonds whose are in Chinese is also called Yin Sen Shu.
