I'd read some reports he was now posting in the forums at Thai Visa.
Has anyone with an account there pinged him?
Perhaps he's here and posting under my very nose (getting harder to
keep up with his sock puppets these days)

***Its very possible that our latest edition to the UseNet family that
goes by the monicker "the Lurker" could indeed be Pinkie himself but
unconfirmed as yet...We also had a suspicious character join
alt.cooking-chat yesterday introducing himself as "Guilherme from
Poland" and if he "needed approval" or some such nonsense to join...A
standard Kraven ploy...The Distinguished Trolls responded by asking
Guilherme if he was "related to Kadek from Kalimanton"...:-)
LOL, it's Kraven alright at Thai Visa, posting under the alias of
FolkGuitar.. but check out the comments against his user profile. Even
there he's been lambasted by other users as a "moron", others accuse
him of sock puppetry.. the old coot is up to his usual tricks ;)
Here was recent post of Steve's from ThaiVisa:
"Years ago there was a fellow in Bangkok, behind the Wat at the end of
Khao San Road who had the right idea...
This fellow always wore absolutely clean (but obviously quite old and
threadbare) clothes, dressing very neatly. He never sat on the ground.
he would always be standing with his hands at his sides. He had an old
broken bathroom scale on the ground next to him and a sign that read;
"Your weight - 1 baht" All he would say is 'Hello Mister' or 'Hello
Madame' if you stopped, and politely say 'thank you' if you stepped
onto his scale and dropped money into the can next to it. He never sat
and slept. He never held the can out to passers-by, and he never asked
anyone to use his scale.
Personally, I thought this was a very respectable way to collect
money. He was providing a service, not begging, despite the fact that
the scale was off by about 50 kilo. I would weigh myself every time I
passed his locale, usually dropping in several coins."

There's billions of people in this world for which their status and
wellbeing are personally irrelevant to each one of us. As such, one
of the last things any of us needs are a few billion notifications of
events which are meaningless to us and for which we utterly cannot
care less.

An interesting enough story. What's of significance is that the
cleancut 'service' gentleman was inobtrusively respectful, which is
the opposit of these off-topic trolls, who are all obnoxiously begging
for attention. Interesting how this can be brought to light by a
troll who thus fails to realize the supreme irony that reflects so
poorly upon him.
Fortunately, most trolls also fall into this same category of the
billions of people in the world for which virtually no one cares one
whit about their wellbeing or happiness. Thus, regardless of if
you're happy or sad, the vast majority simply don't give a damn.

You know talking to yourself is a sign of madness.

You're obviously not a fan of Facebook!

Unfortunately, these trolls now make up the vast majority of posts on
rec.scuba. We have a lot of work to do if we want to drown them out.
Anyone diving lately? I'm stuck working 6 days a week with no time
(or inclination, rather) to dive locally on the 7th. Almost thought
I'd have to cancel the May vacation, but I have until mid-February to
make that decision and I'm doing my best to make things right so I can
keep my planned time off. On that subject, I'll be spending a night
in Bangkok on the way back (June 2), so if Steve Kramer is in town
then, I'd be happy to buy drinks.
****Hey Chuckles...PLONK!
by the by, heard from Howard Aslan lately, or is he "still dead" from
a stroke...?...funny that in so much as he's been posting on UseNet up
until early last year...Still got egg on your beard Chuckles...?
