Hello, I was given a Franklin Mint knife, one of "The Sportsman Year"
Hunting and Fishing Knife Collection, with a whitetail deer.

I've been reading this group, and apparently, these knifes are not
worth much, from what I can see.

What I have is a knife made by Solingen in West Germany. The bolsters
are brass, the inlaid design on either side is sterling silver. Is
this thing worth more for the silver than it is for the collectability
of the knife?

I've been unable to find anything about this knife I have on the
Franklin Mint site or in other collector groups, I've checked the ads
on Ebay, but none of the knifes they show screenshots look anything
like the one I have.

Does anyone know what this might be worth?

Thanks for any information

Dan

As you say, it would be worthless here. However, it might be worth
something to someone who likes the "art work" etc. It is worth what you
can get for it.

Why not ask the expert? He may know something about these...or someone over
there may...Oh yeah- here's a bit about the gentlemen who moderates that
