I was at the Avon Kite Flyers fly-in last Sunday - there were a couple of
members flying small fighting kites there, but I suspect that they were
Japanese fighters - little ears at the bottom of the sails. They looked so
lovely - lively and responsive. It was a real pleasure to watch them. Take
a look at the AKF site - I'm sure that Martin Parsons, the Chairman will
know who these fighters were. Good luck!

Mac Fighters make ripstop fighters http://www.macfighterkites.co.uk/

For traditional paper fighters try http://www.highwaymen.demon.co.uk/

On both sites you can find lots of info on fighters as well as all that is
needed to make your own.
For more info do a search in altavista for fighter kites - there's lots of
info on the web on all fighter kites indian, korean, brazlian,
paper,ripstop,mylar etc...

Hope this helps

Hi Tom/Ben
Stafford Wallace is a unbelievable good flyer and his kites are really good fun to
fly. I would recommend him and his kites to anyone. Its the most fun I've had flying
fighters.
The Highwaymen Kites also produce some excellent paper fighters. Either would be a
great addition to you fighter 'box'.

Try Andrew B.s' kitez.com site for all sorts of kite related searches.
Plug in whatever you like in front of "kitez.com" to search for relations.

http://fighter.kitez.com

will get you to a lot of good(ish) fighter kite web site info and plans.

I'd reccomend Stafford Wallace in England for bamboo and paper or mylar
fighter kites. He test drives each one before sale to insure good flight.
He doesn't have a web site, but does have a coal fired computer interface
in Rutland that he answers. Look for the tall fellow in white pants and
a red shirt at most kite festivals. He's be glad to get a fighter into
your hands and show you how to make it go.

The Manjha Club Internationl is the largest organized fighter kite
group in Europe at the moment, but their web site seems to be a bit
moribund just now. They will answer e-mail and be able to get you in
touch with flyers in your area.

ludo...@hotmail.com gets to the club president Ludo Petit.
pga...@isparis.edu gets to the club secretary Philippe Gallot
who is a bit better with english inqueries

For info about fighters in general and discussion of what's happening
in the U.S. try either of these sites (or both).

http://www.csun.edu/~hfoao033/fighters.html The Cyberfighter Site

http://fighterkites.org The Northwest Fighter Kite Association

Hope to hear more from all of you soon.
