Can anyone tell me where to fly my kites in Phoenix ?

Does anyone know a date of a meeting between 14.07.96 and 11.8.96 ?
Does anyone like to show a "Kraut" how to fly a kite correctly in the
USA ?

THANKS,

Marc Schulte

I'm a member of Route 66, the kite club here in Phoenix. Even
though I'm of Dutch ancestry, since I married a girl of the "kraut"
variety, I'd be happy to fly with you.

The club meets nearly every Sunday at Chapparal Park in Scottsdale.
That would be at the corner of Hayden and Chapparal Roads. We are
always sitting in the shade or flying (it will be in the 100's this
weekend, so shade seems likely). We fly behind the lake.

Failing that, I can be reached in Peoria - a small suburb of Phx.

Hey I wanna join the Route 66 Kite Club!!! I just moved here to Tempe
from Washington and had to leave my other club activities behind
*pout*. I'm going through withdrawals! Well not really, the wind has
been kickin' it lately, so I have been out flying. ;-)

There's a huge open area at Baseline & 48th next to I-10 where I've
been flying as well as over at the Tempe Kiwiana's Park. I know where
Hayden Rd., in Scottsdale is, but can you give me like 'distances' so
that I have an idea if I'm on track when I try to find this park? It
won't be this weekend for me, but I'll be sure to look you folks up.

Do you have any 'scheduled' club meetings?

Hello Kerri,.
Seen your note and had to drop you a quick hello and say we all missed
seeing ya up in Washington. I hope you get together with this kite club
and meet same new kite crazies, and glad to hear you are getting some
flying time in. The teams been hard at it with the Ocean Shores
competition just around the corner, and as usual we are no where near
ready.
See ya soon, Jim

Hello Stephen&Terri

I’m trying to have a kites party for my kid for a 10 year old age group and I’m wondering if you or any channel you can refer to do this. I have two dates March 11 or March 18 and the venue preferred is in parks Peoria AZ. Appreciate if you fcoupld email your interest or contacts.

Thanks,
Sri

Does Route 66 kite fliers still in existence? I have a lot of single liners I would to get rid of, not cheap walmart stuff.
