Hi,

Me and Alex are visiting Launceston (Tasmania), Melbourne and Sydney
this October, and we'd love hints from jugglers as to what would be good
to do. We'll be in Tassie from the 5th-21st Oct, Sydney from 21st-27th
and then Melbourne from 27th-2nd Nov.

We're going to try and make it to one workshop in both Melbourne and
Sydney - but we'd also love any hints as to what it a *must* see, what
is overhyped and what really isn't worth seeing. We're into art
galleries (especially contemporary painting), museums, gardens,
performance, circus, eating and drinking, but not really sport.

Also, I'm going to be free in Launceston for two weeks while Alex
finishes an art residency - so I'll need things to do during the day
(busking? teaching? finally getting 5 clubs solid?)

I'm hoping to pick up some juggling kit while I'm there - or in
Melbourne on the way through - so any hints as to where to get hold of
some clubs and a couple of diabolos would be great (I'm a Henrys man on
both counts). I'll probably sell them on before I go home!

Any hints gratefully recieved. Email me (remove the nospamthanks) or
reply to this thread.

Cheers

Charlie

The big galleries http://www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/ and
http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/ are both must-see. See also

I'm in Hobart ( http://www.pjb.com.au/comp/contact.html ) and don't
really ever get up to Launceston. The Hobart juggling scene is much
more boring since we lost our Monday-night juggling club :-( although
busking is certainly possible and there are some great acts fly in for
the "Taste of Tasmania" around the new year. I hope there's more going
on up north in Launceston...

You'll be close to New Zealand, you should pop in and have a look.
Auckland has a very active juggling scene, and they're a lot of fun to
hang out with.

cor. Stuff seems to be 25% pricier over there. Perhaps I'll ship some
across from the UK instead....
