I've put 6 Tim Nolan bounce videos on our video site, two of which are World
Records (11 ball flash and 8 ball force).

Thanks for the videos. It seems to me that neither of the 11 ball flash
videos are legit. One of them he flashes 11 with one of them being
dropped from his neck after flashing the ten. The other he drops one of
the balls when he is collecting. Nonetheless, nice videos.

Near the top, under the large heading NUMBERS, there are 3 subcategories:
PASSING, SOLO (JOHN JONES), and then SOLO (TIM NOLAN). That's where they
are. There are 6 separate video links. Enjoy.

I agree that the one labeled 11 BALL TRICK is not a flash, and for two
reasons. One, he uses his chin to throw the last ball. That's sort of like
using three hands in which case a flash wouldn't be 11 catches but, hmm,
something higher than than. Two, the last ball is dropped from his chin
almost after the pattern is complete so is not in the right sequence. Still,
a cool trick and is a 10-ball flash with a clean finish even without the
trick ball.

The video labeled 11 BALL FLASH, is a flash, and here's why. Many bouncers
agree that a touch is a catch. Here's a quote from the Numbers Competition
rules,
"Ball Bouncing Patterns Defined

...Some bounce jugglers do not actually grip each ball as it comes to a
hand. Instead, they may simply push the ball slightly to redirect it to the
next hand. Since a stable pattern can be maintained in this way, any touch
of a ball with a hand will be considered to be a catch in ball bouncing..."

In Tim's pattern, the ball slips out of his hand as he's trying to do a
clean finish. A clean finish is not required, just 11 catches.
That being said, not everyone agrees with this method of counting
catches, and so bounce juggling records only exist on The Bounce Page. This
11-ball flash is shown on the Records page at
http://www.bouncepage.com/records.htm It is the only time 11 has been
flashed.

Jared, if you're coming to Buffalo, we have something special for you, since
you were a good sport with the egg steals.

Cool videos. I would start bounce juggling, but silicones are quite
expensive.

If you want to start out with bouncing there are many alternatives to
silicones. Admittedly they will not have such an amazing feel, but they will
bounce well and they will be affordable. If you are interested in trying out
bouncing I would certainly have a look for some cheap bouncy balls.

Try out these places for starters:

http://www.seriousjuggling.com/Balls_Bounce.htm

http://www.butterfingers.co.uk/frame.cfm?area=shop

http://passepasse.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=32_41

There are more vendors, these are just a few off the top of my head. I can
recommend the oddball bouncing balls, I have had a set for about 10 years
now and they are still in pretty good condition =) They have a good bounce.

Cheers,
Beinn...

I agree. Oddballs are what I started with. I told myself if I ever learned
to bounce 7, I would treat myself to silicones, and I did. I still have my
Oddballs and use them on surfaces (asphalt) that I don't want the sillies
on. The Oddballs have held up pretty well over the years.

world record. i have a video of a guy called tony that does more than 12

record. you can download the video from the shilton.com. its called
ejc2003 or something like that. in the midle of the video. hope it helps,
thanks for sharing marco

OK, I found this one. If this is the video you're thinking of, the 8-ball
force unfortunately cuts away after 6 catches. Tim's record stands. Do you
Tony's last name?

John, nice run of 9 balls on the video also (~34 catches).

No balls in FireFox just an ordinary (ugly) page, sometimes bad browser
support is a blessing. :)

Indeed. More videos can be found under "Clips promotionnels"
