So, due to my moving over to Canada for school, I'm going to need some
help from some Canadians. Perhaps Québecers in particular, but I doubt
there's that much of a difference.
Any advice on banks?
I've emailed a few and they do different things in terms of how to set it
up and transfer the money, etc etc. Each has pros and cons - so wondering
if anyone has advice on which bank(s) to try and which to really not
bother with.
Thanks,
Norbi

I can't help you on transfers and stuff, because I just held two accounts
the whole time I was there (one for American money and one for Canadian)
but I can tell you that most people use Dejardain (sp), that it has the
most locations in and around the school and that there's one almost right
next to school. Also there's a Banque National really close by and an RBC
atm a little further down, but the closest RBC location is kind of a pain
and the ass to get too.
Good luck,

Desjardins :) http://www.desjardins.com/en/accueil.jsp
I would try that one, they have something like 600 offices all over Quebec
(None in the rest of Canada and 3 in Florida.) and it's usually the most
friendly bank.
