Thanks, Iain.
aside from this, theres
-stacking of 2 or more tubes in multiple configurations
-jump up and spin the board one or more rotations before you land on it
again.
-jump up and spin yourself one or more rotations before landing
-if you strap your feet to the board or are just really damn fancy, there
are various ways to slide the board all the way to one side, then touch that
far end of the board to the ground, then jump it up so that its balancing at
about a 45degree angle on that one end of the board, using either straps, or
(in this case) your left foot under the left hand edge of the board to
leverage the other side. then fall back ontu the cylinder and keep going.
-using this same end levering, you can do skateboard ollies, even ollieing
from one cylinder to another.
thats all i can think of right now, hope some of it sounds good.

Before you buy.
Not exactly a trick, but a lot of fun can be had by simply rotating the pipe
90deg. (only if it doesn't have one of those silly tracks (: ). In this
mode, you must flex your feet toe to heel to stay on. After you can do
this, you should be able to rotate the board from normal Bola to the front
to back stuff. (This takes a TON of leg strength.)
Also, although it takes new props, a bowling ball Rola-Bola (Bola-Ball) is
a lot of fun. I made one a few summers ago, but never used it much. Just a
while at the Groundhog fest here in Atlanta, I finally got some practice in,
I got to the point where I could free-mount it about 60%, until the
exhaustion set in. I haven't been on it since. You definately want to be
able to handle the bola front to back in addition to side to side before you
try a bowling ball.
Mine is two plywood discs (actually oak venier table tops, pre cut to
circles) separated by the bowling ball. I have some slit rubber tube
screwed around the perimeter of the discs to keep them from getting chipped,
or damaging the floor.
Have fun

Thanks for all the replies. I'll definately try some of them out. Has
anyone tried the two tube criss-cross stack? I'd like to know what
diameter tube would be best for learning this. Also how does one get on?
Thanks,
Iain.
How about five balls on a rolla bolla?

Notice the figure is wearing a cylinder on his shoulders while he
balances atop a severed head. Please don't try this at home.

The most impressive rola-bola trick I have seen done is the old
catching cups and saucers on the head routine. (Generally this is done
on a unicycle, and often on a tightwire). You need a long board, on
which you balance lop-sided. You place the cup on the long end, and a
quick bend of the knee closest the cup, will propel it into the air,
whereby you "simply" catch it on your head. I have seen the Chinese
State Circus do this. They made it even harder by having a bloke
standing on a rola-bola, with a frame on his shoulders, which holds a
platform above his head. A girl was doing the cup and saucer
catching, on a rola-bola on this platform.

and the other day, I found in the back of a surfing magazine an ad for "indo
boards", which is an indoor surfing simulator (a rola-bola in principal).

Most of the tricks I know have already been mentioned, but I think you could
try the following ones.
Someone proposed to use multiple boards and tubes, if you want to start with
it you can try this easy but impressing trick :
First you should get two pieces of wood of approximately the width of your
board.
Then get another board and pile the two pieces at the ends of the first one,
place the second board above them. Then mount the whole thing like you would
do with only one board. If you start to juggle or do anything other than
just standing there and trying not to fall off, most people will be very
impressed. (Or amused if you can´t win your battle with gravity ...)
To juggle on your board is very easy.
I think that it should be possible to use a strong stick and balance with it
while you are completely standing on one side. If the pressure is strong
enough, you can balance and look completely relaxed while leaning on it. I
never tried this but it should be possible.
Bye, Jan
P.S.: Good luck !
