The Flying Teapots in Sheffield have a Christmas Cabaret in one of the
last meetings before Christmas. It's a bit of fun where everyone who
wants to gets up and shows off a bit; the committee always do something
(once it was hand puppets behind the piano), Liz and Dave's dogs do
tricks, someone shows how they finally learned Mill's Mess, and anyone
who's developing an act has a chance to give it a whirl. There's free
beer and mince pies.

Then we all go for a curry.

Emily.

I used to have an annual party at our home where there really isn't room
to juggle and it's too cold to go outside here in PA. Everyone brought
something to eat and we watched juggling videos/dvd's. It's was a great
time, even without the jugging. However, last year we held it at the
place our club meets since there is a big screen TV in the room--and we
can still juggle. We'll probably do that again.

We hire a sports hall, and jugglers pay an entry fee.
Last year we earned more then we spend, so last week we had free drinks
and some snacks for everyone at the cafe near the hall ;), to celebrate
christmas (next weeks are bad weeks because everyone will be away).

Yup, and it's tonight! We're having a longer juggling club in our normal
spot and having good foods and beverages at our house (with high ceilings)
afterward. Hooray!

When I juggled in Birmingham, we used to all get together for an
annual christmas meal, which was always held in a curry house, usually
some time near Easter.

We had our Christmas party in Glasgow already. Beer + mince pies. No
caberet though. A trip to the pub afterwards (although the trip to the pub
happens every week after juggling club and we're usually there until it
shuts!).

Last week us at Gravity Vomit (Bath Uni's juggling society) had a Christmas
party. It involved lots of home made cake and cookies, juggling games, a
renegade and then a Christmas fancy dress meal with a pubs function room
booked out.

Can't wait until we do it again next year!

Yep, ours is tomorrow night. We're going to Kitsu which is our favourite
Japanese sushi/noodle bar. If any clubs aren't organising social dos like
this they really should. It's the social stuff that keeps a club together
& is way more important than the juggling.
