If your in NC then go to a Wal-Mart store (sporting goods section) and ask
for a game land book and a hunting regulations digest. The game land book
has all the maps of public hunting land, the digest will indicate what can
be taken and when.

Stop at any Kmart or Walmart in NC and you can obtain a NC Regulations
book and Public Gamelands map book for free. You can also see all
this information at http://www.state.nc.us/Wildlife/Management/
even though I would not recommend you trying to make much sense out of
the online gameland maps, they are pretty bad quality online.
