Sweetlix Deer Block - Does it Work?

I put out a Sweetlix Deer Block last week, but haven't had a chance to
go back and take a look.

Does anyone have experience with the Sweetlix for Deer (good or bad)?
Does it work?

All food attractants work in the same way, and they all have the same
drawbacks. Basically, if the food is something the deer happen to want
RIGHT NOW, they will work. If the deer want something else RIGHT NOW,
the won't.

For example, I have a corn feeder behind my house. From March to just
before deer season, I see an average of 10-15 deer per day at the
feeder. But in mid-October, the oak trees begin dropping their acorns.
The deer completely ignore the corn and eat pretty much nothing but
acorns. Which means from mid-October until early December (when the
acorn crop is depleted), I see an average of about 1 deer per day.

Chris is right on terget. The same applies to food plots. When high
nutrition foods are available, they will go for them. That is why we
have added saw tooth oaks to the hill behind our favorite fod plot.
They love the big acorns and hit the plot later. It has the benefit
of allowing the plot to grow!

Jim, you are right on not only do saw tooth produce big acorns, but they
produce very fast from a sapling
