Clare Conley, former editor of Outdoor Life, dies

I wanted to let everyone know that Clare Conley who had been the
Editor-In-Chief of OUTDOOR LIFE from 1980 to 1991, died last week. He
was also the Editor-In-Chief of FIELD & STREAM for 11 years prior to
that. Clare was recently diagnosed with ALS.

I had the privilege of working with Clare for several years. He was a
great defender of the rights of sportsmen and a very accomplished
outdoorsman and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
