Anyone have any experience with "World Class Outfitters" (http://
www.packin.com ... though you may have booked the hunt with them via
"Bitterroot Elk" at http://www.bitterrootelk.com)? Bonus points if
you've hunted bear with them.

Steve used these guys: http://www.ridgerunneroutfittersllc.com/ and wrote
about it here:

If he doesn't offer any info you might want to email him.

Howdy,
If the outfit you list takes hunters into the bitterroot range your
odds for finding a mature black bear are probably better than anywhere
else south of the canadian border.
Sorry, don't know anyone who has booked a hunt with this Missoula, MT
based outfit.

George, you beat me to it. I was going to recommend Dick Anderson as a
great outfitter to work with, but I don't know anything about the one the
original poster asked about.

I probably have more free time than you do.

It's not Idaho, but Maine has some pretty fair bear hunting. Google
'foggy mountain guide service'.

My apologies for not acknowledging the responses I've received until
now, but I've been fighting so many fires in the office I haven't had
a chance to check this thread since the day after I started it. That
excuse made...my thanks to those who did respond. I've gone ahead and
booked the hunt and will give a report when I get back from it (in
late June.) That is, assuming I'm not eaten by wolves or mountain
kitties ;-)
