Litter Size and Artificial Insemination with Frozen semen

I have recently had a litter of 9 flat coated retriever puppies sired
by a dog in Europe via artificial insemination using frozen semen and
a surgical insemination technique. I believe this is a very normal
size litter but am wondering if others have had any experience and if
they also had normal size litters?
