The black guy gets furious... another nigger (woops! sorry, another black
guy...) comes in his defense, telling to the bar tender:
"No, no, wait... I know this guy, I'm sure he didn't mean to say that, it's
just that he's new here..." and then starts to tell his Mexican friend:
"You shouldn't say that kind of things; that might hurt some people... let
me show you with an example; let's pretend you are the bar tender <the guy
goes to the other side of the bar>. And I come and ask you:
- Give me a beer, you wetback!
- Sorry, we don't serve niggers here...

what makes you think you have to be from alabama or texas to write such
jokes? by making that assumption, you are being just as ignorant and
stereotypical as the person who posted the original joke. not all
southerners are racists, and not all racists are southerners. i don't
intend this post as a flame--i just resent the assumption that just
because
i was born and raised in the south that i am automatically a racist!

of us are, you know.

it's ok to have a healthy discussion on this topic, but must we keep using
the same hurtful subject line in the thread ? - ethnic jokes are one thing, but
to blatantly use language that is hurtful and spiteful is another. it belongs
in rec.ethnic-name-calling, not here.
and don't start yelping at me about PC and other crap. i have no problem telling
jew jokes, black jokes, mexican jokes, etc etc in this type of forum, but let's
keep it to jokes, eh ? (i'm not one to judge which jokes are tasteless, etc,
but the use of the 'n' word (as in the subject) definitely doesn't add much to
the flavor of any jokes...)
