Hi
Can anyone recommend any English-language resources where I could learn
about court officers during the reign of Tsar Alexander I of Russia,
and specifically the office of chamberlain (how many there were, names
of holders, eligibility, duties, etc)? Does anyone know if the
chamberlain during this period used any specific heraldic insignia of
office with his own armorial bearings?
