Real heraldry: The UK Heraldic Art and Design Conference 2005

I've just had some detail of this from the organiser Stephen Friar who

Provisional Outline:

The conference is intended for all heraldry enthusiasts, whether expert
or otherwise. I am anxious that it should be a social occasion as well
as a feast of heraldic colour!

Speakers include (with provisional subject titles):
Anthony Wood (Medieval Heraldic Art and Design)
Keith Lovell (Victorian Heraldic Art)
John Hayward (Stained Glass: Medieval to the Present Day)
Adrian Ailes (Heraldry in the Tudor Visitations)
Stephen Slater (Modern Military Heraldic Design)

There will be a guided tour of the heraldry in Sherborne Abbey and (I
hope) an exhibition of work by the Society of Heraldic Arts.

Location, etc:

Date: 1-3 April 2005 starting at 5.30 on the Friday and concluding
after lunch on the Sunday. (This is Easter week, ie after Easer
Sunday.)

Cost: Residential fees approx. £115 (2 nights B & B, 2 dinners, 2 buffet
lunches, morning coffee and afternoon tea); non-residential fees
£75 (as above without B & B)
