Aries MK-6500 night vision scope: Experiences?

I recently won a bid on Ebay for a brand new in box Aries MK-6500 night
vision rifle scope. It is a second generation unit, which I plan to use
for wolf hunting in light timber. Total expense with carrying case was
$875.

Anyone own one of these, or a similar unit? I'd appreciate it if you
could bring me up to speed on how to avoid breaking it. I'll be using
it on my AR-15. Any pitfalls, or unexpected surprises?

Sorry, I can't help you with any advice.
I would love to have a scope like that, but I have no experience with them.
But, if it makes you feel any better, I'm jealous as Hell.
