I have a Savage 24V Over/Under Rifle/Shotgun combo. It has a .222 on the
top and a 20 gauge on the bottom. When I recently shot, I noticed the fact
that the gun did not open well after using the .222. It opens fine when a
new cartridge is placed in it, but as soon as it is shot, it becomes
difficult to open. This is not true when using the 20 gauge. Any advice
would be appreciated. By the way, it makes no difference if using reloads
or factory ammo.

Mike, give Savage tech support a call. They were very helpful with me
one time when I wanted to lighten the trigger pull on my 24T... Don't
know the number, but I am sure it is readily available.

Good luck,
Kevin

hmmm i have had a dozen of these things with no problems, but it sounds like it
might have to do withthe extractor.
