Seems like that newsgroup is dead. It used to be fun to post pictures of
folks' gun collections.

I was perusing the internet and found a site that asked users to post
pictures of their revolvers. Some pretty gorgeous shots.

The revolver pics are here

Try Alt.binaries.pictures.weapons. It does have some activity.

Nice shots and collections.
Thanks!

I generally just post to tinypic and post the links:

I only have two revolvers. My other toys are semi-autos.
That little .22 holds 9 rounds in the cylinder. I bought it so I could
get more trigger control practice and not spend as much on ammo.

The .357 is more fun. <g>

Just be thankful you don't have Verizon as your isp - they just killed
the alt. hierarchy and are going with something called the Big 8 group.
Fortunately they still carry the rec. hierarchy. I also understand
there's another of the biggie isp's that totally cut-out providing
usenet access (at least in NY State).

I like those H&Rs. Wish I could find another as nice as yours.
The only H&R I have right now is a 12" barreled 922 that won't work right.

Agreed. Nice selection.

Carried at Model 15 for a duty weapon a long time ago. Replaced it with a
19.

Python was sweet, but overpriced 30 years ago thanks to Colt and Starsky &
Hutch...Hutch did for the Python what Dirty Harry did for the Model 29, but
for a much shorter period of time.

Bird's head Stampede is gorgeous, but my daughter already complains about
too much flame coming out of my 5½" Cattleman.

I searched the entire gun show to fine that revolver. There were two
available and I bought the nicer of the two for $180.00. :-)

Thanks for the compliment! It works very well except some idiot filed
the front sight down so I need to get that replaced. It's a very nice
little gun.

I agree with that for the most part, but not all the way. I've seen some
very pretty semi-autos. The Desert Eagle comes to mind for a start, and
I've seen some nice custom Kimbers. The Taurus 1911 is also very nice:
