I have recently come into possession of a Hi-Standard (or High-Standard)
"Field-King" FK-101 .22 LR pistol, serial number in the 49**** range, with
original box. Can anybody tell me what this gun might be worth, or when it
was made? (60's, my guess...)? (Condition of gun is near-perfect) The
mfg. address is "The High Standard Manufacturing Corporation, Hamden,
Conn. I have checked out the High Standard web site already...

According to the Fjestad Blue Book (16th edition), the serial number range
of the guns made in Hamden from 1954-1957 was 443,611 - 770,XXX.
Yours was probably made in late 54' or early 55'.
The 16th edition value was $600 for 100% condition, $525 for 98% and $400
for 95% condition.
Keep in mind that my book is outdated because the 18th edition is now
available, however the serial number info still applies.
