A friend asked me about a round he picked up. Tip is dark blue, over a
red stripe. ??? Is this incendiary, or blind tracer or what?

Thanks in advance

Do you know what country it is from? Or markings to establish that?

I talked to my friend today, and he says the headstamp looks to be
Hebrew charcters, with 9-71 as the date. Now I dont know if he knows
hebrew from arabic... but Im assuming he does, so it makes this
Isralie ammo.

Hmmm, according to my book there exists israeli ammo with black, red and
blue point which is a tracer, armor piercing incendiary round but it exists
only in .50. This is the closest I got. Possible to scan the rounds
markings?

Hey Peter,

Can you post the color code info for the 50 Israeli ? I have been told all
the Israeli ammo uses the same color code.

Any chance you might let us in on the title of your book or maybe post a few
links to pics ?

Thanks for the help

Rick
