Can anyone help me identify a M/1914 in 11.25m/m which is a Colt .45
look-alike. On the right side of the slide is 1945 over a superimposed BT
where the stem of the B is also the stem of the T in a slight tear drop
shape. On the left side of the slide is 11.25 m/m Aut.Pistol M/1914
No.30XXX. Above the serial number is what appears to be a K with a crown
above it. Is .45 ammo interchangable with the 11.25 m/m? Any idea of the
origin of this weapon? Thanks.

Sounds like a Norweigian gun, manufactured under license from Colt. Should be
not just 'like' the 1911, but identical in all but markings. Congratulations,
you have a scarce collectors item!

This is a Norwegian produced (under Colt license) military gun. The caliber
is simply the metric identification of the .45ACP (same round). Depending on
the condition, serial number, and markings this gun is worth somewhere between
approx. $375 up to over $1700. I would find a qualified appraiser and pay for
his work. This would give you a record for insurance purposes and also let
you know if you want to shoot the gun or put it away in a safe place <G>.

This is a Norwegian pistol manufactured under license from Colt. It is
chambered for the .45ACP like our 1911, and parts are interchangeable
with the 1911 except for the extended slide release and left grip, which
is cut to fit the slide release.
