Anyone have any personal experience or reccomendations on a good choice for
a scope for Ruger PC9 carbine?

Also, is there a scope FAQ anywhere on the net?

My recommendation would be a red dot or very low powered scope. With
pistol ammo a high power scope wouldn't be helpful. Red dot or halo would
probably be best in my opinion.

I've also been looking for a scope for my PC9.

My choice is actually a Leapers 3-9X40 rubber armored scope with rings
already provided which will fit/attach to any weaver-type base.

My follow-up question to yours is: what kind of base/mount should I use to
mount my intended scope.

TIA to all who reply.

Call Ruger and order the PC9 mounting rings. They are the exact height
required, and are parkerized to match the rifle. I used a 2 power shotgun
scope. You do have to watch the scope length, the rings are too far apart for
scopes that fit AR's, AK's, etc.

I've had a red-dot on my PC9 since I bought it about 6 months ago.
Since it's really no more than a 100 yard gun anyway, the red-dot is
perfect. I don't think I'd want an optical scope on it, and even if I
did, I wouldn't want more than about 2x. A PC9 is not a tack-driver,
and a 3-9x is overkill.
