Thank you all
John Hudick
2) bcd---Gustloff Werke, Weimar, Germany.
3) S/27---Pre-war code for Erfurter Maschinen
fabrik (Erma). Later pre-war code for
this same firm was "27", used until
1940. In 1940, the name was changed to "Feinmechanische Werke
GmbH,
Erfurt" (also Erma), which had the code
"ax".
4) BSW---Berlin-Suhler_Waffen und Fahr-
Zeugwerke.
5) swp45---Waffen Werke Brunn AG, Brunn.
(Previously coded "dot", changed
to "swp45" in 1945) [Czech. under
German occupation].
6) dou45---Waffen Werke Brunn AG,
Bystrica. This code replaced
"dou" in 1945.
7) bnz---Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, Steyr,
Austria.

I would suggest you purchase "Backbone of the Wehrmacht". This book lists all
of the codes, markings, varieties, etc. that are found on WWII German K98
rifles. If you collect these rifles, this book is a must!
Also, check out www.k98.com
