I have several rimfire rifles and handguns ... :-)
and CCI ammo seems to be the best all around
general fun shooting ammo. My Ruger 10/22 gets
more use than the others and will go thru a lot
of CCI Mini-Mag without a problem.
Any comments on CCI rimfire ammo ?

#For several years I have liked the CCI Stinger 22LR.
#It costs more, about $3.00 for 50 rds, but always
#seemed worth it. Now I see that CCI is making a
#22 LR called the Velocitor. Anyone tried a box ?
The Velocitor did not group very well in my Savage MK II, but your
rifle might like it. Only way to find out is to try it.

Overall it is good ammo, some rounds more than others. The Blazer
..22 is especially good for the price and a lot of shooters/rifles have
had good results with it.

I just picked up my new Ruger 77/22 and sighted it in at 100yds
with the Velocitor ammo. I easily held a 1 to 1 1/2" group with it.
For a dead on 100yd sight I get about 2 inches high at 50yds. I tried
Stingers (some people call them Stinkers) and the pattern and point of
impact was almost identical. Considering the Velocitor has a "real"
bullet with an agressive hollow point I would consider it superior to
the light weight projectile the Stingers use. I plan on using this
rifle for my out to 150yd prairie dog gun, so I also like the heavier
bullet for better down range performance. I just had my local dealer
order me up a bunch of it so I can have plenty to practice with waiting
for the Spring PD hunt. I have probably run a 100 or so rounds through
the rifle and I like it. Heck for what....4 - 5 bucks try a box!

Found the mini-mags to be a little wild, the stingers are great with a
nice flame, Velocitors are excellent.
CCI seems to be more widely available than many of the other brands.

I shot several boxes of the Velocitor while searching for the most
accurate high-velocity .22 through my heavy-barrel Savage rifle. The
Velocitor was the winner, by the way. I've not yet had an opportunity
to try the Velocitor out on anything living, though, so I can't
comment on performance on small game.
CCI is also now the manufacturer for Quik-Shok .22 ammo. I've used
that ammo extensively on squirrels and other small critters, and the
performance is really impressive. Other .22 rounds will make a hole
through-and-through, while the Quik-Shoks will practically blow the
critter in half. Probably not something to use when you want to eat
what you shoot, though. The only reason I'm not using the Quik-Shoks
with my Savage is that their OAL seems to be just slightly longer than
a "standard" .22 cartridge, and that was enough that they got hung up
in the Savage's magazine. The CCI Stingers did the same thing.
