I just recently bought two EMEI air guns at a garage sale. One came
with the manual that I could never read, as it was in Chinese. It's a
EMEI EM45B-3.

All I could find on this gun was from websites in other languages
until I found the same serial number on a ban list of certain air guns
in another country on airgunsbbs.com I did find another company with
guns that look exactly like both guns I bought. Here's a link to what
this one looks like:

http://www.xisicousa.com/xs-b3-1.html

The other gun did not come with anything, on the butt though, theres
an EMEI label. And from that same website I found this gun which
again, looks and cocks exactly the same.

Thanks for any info someone may have.

That first one is definitely one of those horrid, deadly, assault air-guns!!
No wonder it's banned - just look at it! Obviously I'm being a wise acre
but it looks like your most powerful one is the second. All of that aside
they look like they could be fun. What did you pay for them - just so I can
be jealous, of course!?

Standard chink air guns. Don't worry about the manufacturer, you'll
never be able to get spares. The standard stock side-cocker used to
be sold for $25-30 at various shows 10-15 years back, the AK trainer
side-folder was about $40. There are several grades of these, finish
ranges from acceptable to orange crate wood with shellac swabbed on.
I've got one of the B-3 models, does well for pigeons. Don't get
excited by the velocities quoted, the guns as they come diesel badly.
Cleaning the chink axle grease out and relubing with good airgun oil
takes the velocities down to the 700-750 fps area but the grouping
improves considerably because the velocity variation is cut, a Chrony
is a great de-liar. Triggers also vary considerably, I've got one
with a trigger like an old Daisy BB gun that shoots a lot better than
the one with a fancy trigger system and a much better pull. Hope you
didn't pay a whole lot, they were good buys for barn guns at $20, for
the prices you see them now, you can get Spanish or other imports that
are a lot better finished.

I got them both for $20, they look barely used. The guy said his dad
bought them
about 20-25 years ago. He just wanted to get rid of them cause he
doesn't shoot them.
Looks like I can have a little fun outback shooting targets.

Actually buying these has sparked an interest in air rifles and now
I'm afraid
I might be committed to spending more money.
