We have also tried using a HellFire with this gun, and it does not seem to
work either.
Any advice??

Good luck. My brother had a 9mm TEC and it was junk.
Never did work right and much tinkering failed to make
it any where near reliable. He finally gave up on it.
It finally self destructed and he didn't feel it was worth buying
parts and working on it anymore.
Advice? Get a better gun.
TEC makes jammamatics.

I think it's ironic that the Crime Bill banned Tec-9s and Tec-22s, so the
teenage gang-bangers who Chuck Schumer was targeting will be forced to pony
up for (steal) more reliable firearms. Thanks, Chuck.

Perhaps I did not make myself clear.
The TEC-22 will function reliably with Ram-Line magazines and Federal
#710 ammunition.
There is so much 9mm ammunition special made for SMG, Pistol, Parab etc.
getting a TEC-9 to operate can be a problem.

Yes, I would have to agree that the Tec-22 is a fun gun...when it
works. I'd discovered that mine will only work with Remington
Thunderbolts or the expensive CCI stingers. Any others will cause it
to jam 2 - 3 times every magazine.
