Chamber inserts are generally a bad idea. In this case, accuracy
should be abysmal due to the 7.62 x 39mm's .311-.313" bullet
riding down a .323" (8mm) tube.

If such an adapter exists, it seems not advertised anywhere on Bandet's
website which you have indicated. Could you kindly check again ?
Thanks.

Yes, that's the way it looks to me too. ( I looked over the site
mentioned above and saw no reference to the 7.92/7.62 conversion adapter
however. ) Now, one COULD fire the shorter round in the 8mm rifle
safely with a well-made adapter, but accuracy should be mediocre with a
.311 bullet rattling down a .323 ( or larger ) bore....
There was at one time a German cartridge called the 7.92 Kurtz, which
had the same bullet diameter as the 7.92x57; in fact, the Kurtz was the
inspiration for the 7.62x39. But I know of no source for 7.92 Kurtz
ammo...

I have used one of the chamber adapters Bandet advertises in the .303 british
to 7.62x39. It works!! they can be had in alot of other calibers too. 30-06,
.308, 7.65 Arg, 8x57 mau, 7.62x54R, 7.5 French, and 7.7 Jap. All fire the
7.62x39 accurately and cheaply as the host rifle. Call Ptarmigan Group @

for info/ordering.
