New 94 model. It's larger than the KP93 but smaller than the [K]P89.
Newer design, smoother, nicer looking. Same ban-fan company, though.
#the '94 Gun Digest) Is that a "reasonable" price for that pistol?
$400 is about the best price seen in SN or GL in months.
#Thanks in advance.

Note that the KP93 and KP94 "require" the new model P-18 magazine (as
do late-model [K]P89s), as opposed to the P-15 used traditionally in the
P85 and older P89s. The P-18s are hard to find, in my experience -- you
may find you're paying $10-30 extra for spare mags for the P-18s vs. P-15s
or equivalent Mec-Gars.

Looking for: USP.40 mags, Calico 9mm mags, Mec-Gar nickel or stainless mags for
Taurus 92/99 and Ruger P89; Sigma 9mm mags; Sig 228 and 229 mags
Have for trade: USP 9mm mags, Mec-Gars in blue for Beretta, Sig 226, S&W 59;
Ruger P93/94 mags; Sig factory 226 mags; S&W 59xx mags.
What are the differences between an older P89 and a KP89? I thought the P89
family differences ran only to the trigger action (DAO vs. double action first
shot) and decocker/safety types. I am especially surprised that they use
different magazines.

Can't say. They are very specific about it on the magazine packaging. The
P-18 packages give as applications:
Model P89 and KP89, Serial nos. 307-00000 and above
Model KP93
Model KP94
It's also interesting that Ruger is supposedly already shipping 10-rounders
of the P-18s (according to a friend who tried to order P-18s for his P-89
last week).
