I've been looking for over a year for a magazine for this old beater shotgu
n. If anybody has one or knows a source I would sure like to finish this.
Its an old beater shotgun my dad bought back around 1970 from somebody who
needed a couple bucks. We never had a magazine for it. Its the first sho
tgun I ever made a wingshot with, and I'ld like to pass it onto my son or g
randson someday. (My son will probably buy his own shotgun soon, and for n
ow he always grabs my 870.)

I've checked the various auction houses, Numrich, Havelin, etc. Numrich an
d Havelin mention a conversion to use a 185 magazine so I bought one from N
umrich. Not sure what modifications it would require, but as delivered it
does not feed properly. I may look at modifying the 185 magazine since it
doesn't work as is, but I would really prefer to find an original magazine
that fits and feeds properly. I think an 85B, 85C, or 85D magazine would w
ork. I am pretty sure the gun is an 85C, but its a Westernfield with the W
esternfield part number. The magazine would be the 2 3/4 with the retentio
n latch on the magazine. Not the one that uses the spring mounted on the g
un.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Bob La Londe

Thanks, I have contacted Havelin a couple times in the search already, and I contacted Bob's
a week ago. I do appreciate the help, but at this point I'm just hoping to get lucky and find
somebody who has one sitting in a box on a shelf.
