maybe the guy has a glock and doesnt want to carry two bandoliers of
magazines instead if one he doesn t want to mod the mag just the catch
and stuff
I think its a good idea id rather use factory glock mags than the cheap
s&w59 mags floating around
if you see us running catch up
Bomb Squad Motto
Maybe he has a Glock pistol and would like a carbine that will interchange
magazines.
What is the capacity of S&W series 59 magazines? I bet there are no 33 round
S&W magazine available like there is for the Glock 9mm models.
Anyway,
the original post asks for the name of a person who can modify the gun to
accept glock mags, not modify the mags to fit the gun.
Well, personally I have about 10 Glock mags and no S&W mags. A carbine
that takes the same magazine as a pistol, or the same magazines that you
already own, would be a good thing. Once the 94 Slime Bill gets repealed
and high capacity mags are cheap again, it won't be as much as an issue.

FWIW, I applaud your ingenuity, but as an avid and longtime Glocker, I
would be more than a bit concerned that the metal magazine release bar/magazine
latch bar would chew up the detent on the Glock polymer magazines that holds
the mag in the well. This is the opposite of the problem that causes all metal
aftermarket Glock Mags made in the "U.S.A." to "eat" Glocks.

# Since Glock mags are more expensive than S&W 59 mags (at least here in
# Alabama), why do this?
Because many smaller PD's use the Camp 9 and camp .45 carbines for a
patrol longarm or tactical/dynamic entry work as they cannot afford the
much more expensive HK MP5's. If the magazine was interchangable with the
duty sidearm (often a Glock) this would be very convienint. It also
provides an extra supply of ammunition for whichever gun you are using,
or if you have to discard one suddenly bacause of failure. And the public
itself could find this handy as well.
In the old west, lever guns were often chambered in common pistol claibers
so the same belt or bandolier of cartridges could be used for the rifle
and the revolver. People have found ammo commonality between the carried
handgun and long gun handy for generations. The same logic apples to
magazines as well.
