RON L here

I have owned a lot of Com-Block Pocket Pistols, my last was a Like
New PA-63 in 9MM makarov, as well I have Ownned a few East German made
makarov pistols in all stell as well as 1 P-64, the P-64, is by all
means the smallest of the ones I owned and It was a great pocket carry
gun, the 9MM makarov was a bit of a handfull in the P-64 and the 9MM
makarov in that lenght barrel and size and weight handgun was a bit to
hold onto, especially if you tried to rapid fire it! On the Plus side
the sites once opened up and made deeper with a needle file worked
well, were easy to see in low light and was OK for a gun of this type
most folks look over the top of the slide and aim that way anyhow? The
cost was reasonable, the avalibility of ammo is good, cost of
magazines wasa a little high and kore than the makarov and PA-63!
Holsters were hard to find that fit well, but I modified a walther PPK
Holster in leather and a cleaper one in nylon for inside the pants
carry! All in all it was a decent guna nd for the $, I paidf about
$155.00 for mine a few years ago, I place it high on the list of guns
god for the $! I hope this helps sin some smal way and I think if you
are carefull with it and give the gun it';s due, you will be happy
with it?

I have one, functions OK, recoil a bit heavy, about like the FEG R-61,
another small pistol in 9mmMak. Mag release is Euro style at the
bottom rear of the butt, unlike the R-61.

Heh,I just saw a Gander Mountain (sporting goods store)print ad today,in
the Orlando Sentinel, and they were selling a -used- P-64 for $199.
It was the only used gun in the flyer.
First time I 've seen a used gun advertised like that.

I have one - used to use it for my carry piece until I bought the CZ
RAMI. Now it's the bedside piece. Had I known the future, I would have
bought 5 or 10.

Plus side:
Small and concealable
Accurate as heck
Cheap (esp. compared to a Walther PPK, which it resembles)
Ammo is relatively inexpensive for plinking (Russian stuff) and Hornady
makes a quality hollow-point.

Minus side:
Recoil - not hard to _handle_, but it _hurts_! Replace the grips!!!!!
9mm Mak is only very slightly stronger than a .380

Check out http://www.p64resource.com/

The surplus CZ-82 is a fine gun that fires the same round, but it is not
as concealable.

Me Too!! I did manage to get two of them with used military surplus
holsters for 99.00 + tax and 12.95 ea for extra mags. That was apx 4-5
years ago from J&G Sales at a gun show in Phoenix. I had one bad mag
that consistently jammed in both guns. I've put 500 rds through both
and as long as I don't use the bad mag not a single jam. I was
shooting cheapie steel cased Wolf and brass cased, reloadable S&B
ammo. If your a reloader expect to have work in store for you as they
toss brass violently in all directions.
