Hello List,

My uncle, who doesn't know anything about guns, asked me to clean and find
ammo for a little pistol he has that belonged to my grandfather.

The pistol resembles externally a Baby Browning but functions in a very
different way.

I have determined that the caliber is 6,35 mm or .25 ACP.

The only markings in the pistol reads "C. G. Haenel Suhl Schmeisser's
Patent", so it's a pre WWII german pistol.

Though I'm familiar with several types of revolvers and pistols (1911, baby
browning, high power, CZ 75 & clones, beretta 92F, Glocks, etc) I dont know
how to dissasemble this gun for cleaning. I havent seen another similar
pistol.

I would appreciatte if someone could give me detailed instructions on how to
field strip this little pistol.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm remembering a small Italian .25 of about the same era. Try
twisting the barrel to see if it rotates. If so, it unlocks and the
slide comes forward from there. It's been a while since I tinkered
with the thing, but it might have been a common system of the time.
Just a hunch.
