Ref: Glock 23 - C (compensated)

Are there any consequences in firing a non-ported .40 cal barrel (Glock 23)
in my .40 cal (Glock 23-C)?

There are some competitions that will not allow compensated pistols.

Yes. Your front sight will stay cleaner :)

I use a non-ported barrel in my 24C and the only other difference I've
noticed is slightly more muzzle lift.

i don't know of any ill affects it would have,, same barrels,,,same
slides,,,one just weighs less and has
holes in it (that make one hell of a noise and flash!).

Don't do it! It'll BLOW UP!

Just kidding. Should be just fine. Just like shooting an unported
barrel in an unported slide. Just maybe 1 oz. lighter up front because
of the unneeded holes.
