I have been to the facility and it is NICE! Firing positions to from 3 to
200 yards. I didn't count the trap and skeet fields but there are enough to
run as large of a shoot as anyone could want.

The club houses are beautiful; the shotgun range club house looks like a
real restaurant.

It may open this month; I hope top be there on day one.

I don't know how they could; the property was transfered to the county.
There is an ongoing lawsuit over noise issues but I doubt anything will come
of it. The park was planned and announced long before the housing was built.

We've had tons of those issues, in B. Columbia Canada, where 13
Ranges were closed in the last 10 years, with totally bogus allegations, and
tons of fudged paperwork, to enhance the anti-gun issues of the
BATFE/NWEST/Para/Military/etc...., who want the guns all to themselves to
work a polease state...

These issues range from fudged leaded soil, to trumped noise issue,
complaints from the Brady Brunch Types.....you'd think a hunting
environment, would allow a targeting range, but they even disallowed Olympic
style shooting to prove that even bullshit allegations do cut the muster
with the better armed gangs....

Quite similar issues like NOLA have been experienced all over from
the Registry leads to Confiscation theme regardless of the level saintliness
you have...

#From the briefing I attended the staff has no authority and will not check
for any type of registration of firearms. Records of shooters will not be
kept. If you come in and pay with cash there is nothing to connect you with
the range. You will not have to present the blue handgun redistry cards
issued by the county to range staff or show ATF registry papers for machine
guns. If law enforcement is called for any reason they will probably ask
those questions but otherwise shooters will only be required to be safe.

I do expect there to be some impact on other shooting facilities in the
valley. I am sure the indoor ranges will lose some customers; but with the
summer heat I'll bet anyone shooting a pistol on an afternoon in July or
August will do it indoors. I am wondering what affect it will have on other
outdoor shooting venues in the valley.
