I noticed on Cor-bon website they mention that a Ruger P90
can be converted to shoot 400 cor-bon with a barrel
conversion. After surfing around a little more, I found one
site that offers a "drop-in" barrel. My question is this a
safe conversion and does the spring need to be changed
also? Any recommendations on a barrel manufactor?

Thanks in advance,
Eric

Eric,
I had a hard time finding a .400 Corbon barrel for Ruger pistols. My
father purchased a .400 Corbon barrel for his P90 from Federal Arms Corp.
It was a cheap piece of junk and actually jammed the action. It took a long
time to get the thing apart again. They offered to replace it, but he just
got his money back. We ended up getting a barrel from EFK Firedragon
http://www.efkdragon.com After speaking with the owner at length, and
examiming both replacement barrels and the original factory barrel, it
sounds like Laseraim and FAC may have copied his original design. This
barrel performed flawlessly from day one. You can buy direct from EFK
Dragon or from Brownells. I've also seen them at gunshows here in Atlanta.
They have stock length and extended/ported barrels. They also sell
two-stage recoil spring sytems. I put one in my Glock .40 and saw an
immediate improvement.
Hope this helps.
